Business Overview
Oro Group is a Lucknow based property development company which operates in some of the most rapidly developing areas of the city such as Arjunganj, Sushant Golf City, and Jankipuram. The portfolio of this group includes both ready for move-in as well as under construction property development projects that serve a wide clientele base ranging from first time buyers to investors keeping track of developments in the infrastructure of Lucknow.
Most of Oro Group's buyers don't start with a developer name in mind. They start by searching for a locality, a price range, or a question about RERA compliance, and only narrow down to specific projects later in that journey. That made organic search a critical channel, not a supporting one. If the website wasn't visible at that early research stage, Oro Group's projects simply weren't in the conversation by the time buyers got serious.
The Challenge
Oro Group runs several residential projects across Lucknow, including developments in Arjunganj and along Shaheed Path, in a market where most buyers start their search on Google long before they call a sales team. Each project needed to rank for its own locality and project-specific searches, not just the Oro Group brand name, and the site's existing content wasn't built to compete for that spread of search intent. Blog and landing page content was thin in places, keyword targeting wasn't consistent across pages, and the site was leaving organic reach on the table at a time when investment-trend and RERA-related searches around these localities were picking up.
Google Search Console Performance
The screenshot below represents data on search performance of the company’s website, which was taken straight from the Google Search Console. Six months are being compared to each other – the latest ones and those which were before them.
What We Did
Long-Form Content Strategy
Blog articles based on SEO and focusing on the topics of local investment, RERA, and construction will be created in long form using H2/H3 tags and tables for comparison.
Project Page Optimization
Keyword mapping and on-page optimization for existing and new project webpages.
GSC Data Refinement
Continuous creation of content following the results from the analysis of Google Search Console.
SEO Execution Strategy
Oro Group's SEO strategy started with a decision that shaped everything after it: rank for how buyers actually search, not for how the brand talks about itself. Most searches in this market begin with a locality — Arjunganj, Shaheed Path, Jankipuram — and only later narrow down to a specific project or developer name. So instead of building content around Oro Group as a brand, we built it around the localities and search stages buyers move through before they ever reach a sales conversation.
Keyword Research and Mapping
Mapped target keywords to specific localities, project phases, and buyer concerns (like RERA compliance). Each core topic was paired with long-tail queries regarding construction quality and investment potential to capture early-stage traffic.
Project Page Optimization
Aligned existing project pages with search intent, replacing generic real estate copy with the exact terms buyers use when searching for specific projects or target localities.
Long-Form Content Strategy
Published long-form guides, comparisons, and FAQ structures covering local trends and regulatory questions, making it easier for search engines to index and rank individual sections.
Publishing Cadence and Topical Authority
Rolled out content gradually across localities to build topical authority over time, avoiding internal ranking competition and maintaining a steady stream of fresh indexing signals.
Ongoing Optimization from Search Console Data
Used Google Search Console data to identify near-miss rankings and high-impression pages. We regularly updated underperforming articles and added targeted FAQs to capture new traffic.

Why This Strategy Worked
Search Intent Focus
We chose to create content based on search intent rather than the language of the brand. People looking for a house in Lucknow would not begin their search process with 'Oro Group'. They would search by locality, type of project, or concerns such as RERA. By tailoring content to what people were actually searching for, the site was visible exactly when buyers were shortlisting developers.
Content Depth & Structure
The depth of content was key. In-depth articles with H2/H3 heading structures and comparison tables provided Google with clear indicators of the true contents of each page. When users use long-tail search phrases during research, search engines seek pages with genuinely relevant, structured content.
Phase-by-Phase Publishing
We followed a gradual and phase-by-phase publishing cycle instead of publishing everything all at once. Publishing material gradually in various locations allowed each new piece of content to leverage the topical authority of previous publications instead of competing against them.
Data-Driven Decisions
Regular analysis of data from Google Search Console gave us clear insights into what was actually working, rather than what we felt should be working. This continuous data feedback loop ensured that visibility kept rising instead of stagnating.
Lessons Learned
Project-Level SEO Trumps Brand SEO
Consumers look for information about their preferred locations and project types way ahead of even checking out the developer name. Developing content in response to such queries provides a much higher chance of reaching target audiences than brand-oriented SEO.
Locality as a Unique Content Zone
Consumer search activity must be reflected in the content plan. Treating each location as a unique content zone, rather than just developing one page per city, was critical in order to rank for specific locality corridors.
Tail Keywords Hold More Value
Long-tail keywords offer immense value over broad head keywords because they map directly to search intent. In real estate, targeting queries about RERA compliance, construction stages, and specific locality investments delivers highly qualified traffic.
Ongoing, Data-Driven Optimization
Data-based SEO must be ongoing. Regular insights from Google Search Console provide invaluable guidance on how to update the content plan and optimize underperforming pages continually.
FAQ
Having Another
Question?
Because buyers Google everything before they call anyone. They're searching by locality, by project type, sometimes just typing in a vague question about RERA. If a developer's site isn't showing up at that stage, it doesn't matter how good the project actually is. SEO is what gets you into that early research window, before the buyer has even made a shortlist.
Honestly, expect six months minimum before anything meaningful shifts. Impressions tend to move first. Clicks and actual conversions lag behind, since rankings need time to mature and buyers need time to notice. Anyone promising faster is probably talking about paid ads, not organic.
It's optimizing around individual projects and their localities instead of just chasing the developer's brand name. So rather than fighting for "real estate in Lucknow," you're targeting the specific searches someone runs when they're looking at, say, Shaheed Path specifically, or checking a project's RERA status.
Yes, and it's arguably more important here than in most industries. Nobody searches "flats" in isolation. They search by neighborhood, by corridor, sometimes by landmark. Local SEO is what makes sure a project actually shows up for those specific, narrower searches, which is usually where the real decision-making happens.
The research cycle is just longer. Someone might spend months comparing localities and projects before they even reach out. So the content needs to support that whole stretch, not just push for a fast conversion the way e-commerce or service-based SEO usually does.
